1. Do you volunteer your service for Non-profit organizations? We have worked with several Non-profit organizations.  We current;y extend 10 % discount on services, when we are contracted with them. Although we are unable to provide our services for free, we encourage our non-profit clients to work with Corporate sponsors to cover the cost of our professional services. We would be happy to provide you with a copy of our Formal Sponsorship Letter if you would like to book our services this way. 
  2. What is your booking process? All Clients need to complete the booking form at this link ,  once completed please allow 48 hrs for contract to be submited after speaking with Event specialist to confirm availabilty. Once service contract is sent, both your service contract and booking fee must be submitted online via link provided to confirm your event on our event schedule.  EVENTS ARE NOT CONFIRMED UNTIL BOTH APPROVE CONTRACT AND BOOKING FEE ARE RECIEVED!
  3. What do you charge? We offer an array of services, and service events of any sizes. For Face painting, glitter tattoos, henna, and balloon twisting, services are $175  for the per hr per Entertainer hired (depending on travel range)  Often we are able to send one entertainer to provide two services for the price of one, for smaller events. Airbrush tattoos have the flat rate of $190 per hr per artist. Caricutre artist start at $190 per hr ( 3 hr booking minimum). We do have a two booking minimum for all events( except for Caricture services). Balloon Decor vary based on design, and size, and Color scheme, please review our menu of most requested designs to see base price of those items (Click Here to view menu)All Balloon Decor is subject to tax, Delivery pickup fee( priced per mile) and installion fee 20% of item price before tax. 
  4.  What should I expect when artist arrives? Entertainer will arrive approx. 15-30 mins prior to service schedule time. They will need a 6ftx6ft space to set up, in a will lit area ( indoors/night time), or shaded ( direct sunlight will compromise the products we use) We prefer for client to provide the necessary amount of tables and chairs, if not we will be prepared to do so. 
  5. How many kids can be painted in an hour?  12-15 depending on designs offer and we do offer designs that go with any theme even if we have to compromise. 
  6. How many balloons can be twisted in an hour? 15-18 depending on the deigns offered ( if combined with face painting simpler designs are always offered. and the ration of children serviced is half) 
  7. Can I pick up my balloon decor' to save on the delivery pick fee? We do not offer a grab and go service at this time.You can recieve free delivery and pick up when you book entertainment with your decor. We pride ourselves on delivering your balloon design just as you ordered them. Sometimes in transports balloons pop or become rearranged. You hired Colorful events to take the stress out of event planning, we will personally deliver setup  and return to dis-assemble and pick up equipment. Also, some design are too large to pre-assembled, and are assembled on site.  
  8. What form of payment do you accept? Accept Paypal, venmo, Zelle, all major credit cards, cashiers checks and corporate checks ( we do not accept personal checks) 
  9. What type of paints for do you use? Professional grade theater makeup and cosmetic grade glitters. All our make up/ paints are FDA compliant, and for professional use. You will never see a professional Insured artist use craft paints, craft glitters. Safety is of the upmost importance for our customers experience. 
  10. How do we remove the makeup ? Water based makeup is best removed with mild soap and water, water-resistant makeup is removed with oil based cleansers. 
  11. Do you have a booking minimum? 1 hour for costumed Characters , Magician* 2 hr booking for Facepainting, balloons twisting, airbrush/ henna/glitter tattoos, Clowns *3hrs for Caricature artist. Click here to see Booking minimums for Balloon Decor
  12. What is Henna?  Henna is a natural and beautiful form of body art. Henna has been practiced and shared amongst women for over 5,000 years and originated in Egypt, where the henna bush grows. The henna plant also grows in other similar climates, like China and India. The leaves of the henna bush are taken and ground into a powder form. This is what we use to create our henna recipe. Essential Oils, sugar and lemon juice is also the in this recipe.
  13. How do I remove airbrush or glitter tattoos? These tattoos are removed with Alcohol or baby oil.
  14. How can I remove henna stain? Removing henna after it has already stained the skin, will require you to exfoliate with olive oil and and salt at least 10 mins. Reminents of the tattoo may still remain even after this but it will fade fast over the next several days if you follow the above steps
  15. What is your cancellation policy?  All Booking fees are non-refundable. For Weather related cancellations: We always follow weather closely when preparing for outdoor events. Events paid in full, Rain or shine we will show up to a scheduled event. In the occurrence that you cancel your event, for any reason, your bookings fees maybe transferred to another date within the calendar year (based on availability). 
  16. How far do you travel? We service the all other Metro Detroit area, and parts of Ohio, but keep in mind if more than 45 miles from 49221 zip code may be subject to additional mileage fee. 
  17. Can you  accommodate large scale event (I.e. 500-1000 guest)? Colorful Events has a growing team, and we can handle any size event you need. 
  18. Do you work Holidays?  Yes, we do work Holiday's ( Easter Sunday, Independence Day, Labor day, Memorial day, New Years Eve after 5 pm, St. Patrick's day, ) Please note a holiday premium of an additional $75 per hr will apply.
