Meet the Owner!
Hello, I'm Dominique House, Owner and Lead Artist/Designer of Colorful Events, llc. thank you so much for taking the time to get to know me. I'm so excited to share how I came to start my company, and look forward to bringing the vision you have for your special event to fruition.
Let me be completely honest, as a wife and busy mom, making life fun is one of my natural job descriptions. I started out painting faces to add to the festivities at my kids birthday parties. Needless to say, it was a big hit! All of my family and friends said I should really think about offering my services to others. So I took a leap of faith and business picked up sooner than I thought. I was blessed with the opportunity to expand with more entertainment, and with the support of my loving husband, we hit the ground running. Every event I've done I find myself smiling uncontrollably. Not many of us, have the pleasure of being so happy with what we do. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE WHAT I DO!!!
I founded Colorful Events, llc in Metro Detroit in 2015. I have always had a passion for everything crafty. I've always said it runs in my genes because of my mother's creativity. I studied art at Eastern Michigan University, and really developed my passion and explored the possibilities as an artist. In 2019 I completed Cosmetology school as a licensed Esthetician .Now Colorful Events is well established, serving communities throughout Washtenaw, Wayne, Lenawee, Oakland, and Monroe counties and beyond. We are an ever growing company, we are founded on the principle of bringing joy to our clients, and being of service to our surrounding communities.

Colorful Events will always have room to grow. We will continue to add new styles, designs, and services, as well as keep up with the most current trends in family entertainment. As I look into the face of my children, I continue to be inspired. They are climbing the mountain with me, and what joyous memories we will create along the way. Onto the Mountain Top we go!!!
